From 20th to 22nd April, the French F4 Championship organised by the FFSA Academy will start with fanfare at Nogaro as part of the very popular Easter Cup, with a field of nearly 20 cars (Mygale-Renault FIA F4) driven by young motorsport hopefuls from various countries.
The recent collective tests highlighted a quality grid and there are expected to be many contenders for the title to attempt to succeed the Brazilian Caio Collet, who has joined the Renault Sport Academy this season.
Winners of the Winfield and Richard Mille-Birel ART awards respectively, Jules Mettetal and Enzo Valente will meet former high-level karting rivals such as Hadrien David, who has just won in F4 Asia, Gillian Henrion, Evan Spenle and Ugo Gazil. 2nd in the Junior rankings in 2018, Reshad De Gerus will be keen to shine for his second season in F4.
Trained in the French Junior Karting Championship with the FFSA Academy, Pierre-François Duriani, Mathis Poulet and Paul-Adrien Pallot will make the big jump to cars with fierce determination.
Denmark’s Mikkel Gruntvig and Valdemar Eriksen, Nicky Hays and Bryson Lew of the United States, Sten Van der Henst of Belgium, Simon Ohlin of Sweden and South Africa’s Stuart White will be looking to stand out among the French drivers. Racing in three meetings in 2018, with a victory at Spa-Francorchamps, White will not fail to make the most of this experience.
A talented kart racer and OK-Junior World Champion in 2018, Victor Bernier will be one of the favourites in the Junior ranking. Isack Hadjar, who shone at the Winfield Volant, will be sure to respond. Théo Pourchaire, who was crowned last year in this category, is now a member of the Sauber Junior Team.
