A driver trained by the FFSA Academy in the French Junior Championship and then in the French F4 Championship, and a member of the FFSA Circuit Equipe de France, Isack Hadjar was able to drive an F1 car for the second time during Free Practice 1 at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. After driving an Alpha Tauri in Mexico, Isack had the chance to take the wheel of Max Verstappen’s world champion RedBull RB 19 on the Yas Marina circuit. “It was the best day of my life,” he said. “This car is simply extraordinary, a step above what I discovered with the Alpha Tauri in Mexico. I was lucky enough to be able to push a little harder on soft tyres and to get a glimpse of the car’s incredible potential. Everything went well and I’m very happy.”
The following day, Isack finished his first F2 season in 14th place in the Championship and 5th rookie before announcing that he would be joining the Campos Racing team in 2024.
