The FFSA’s national appeal court has given its verdict on the appeal lodged by a competitor who was penalised during the very last race of the season at Magny-Cours on 24th October. The appeal was not upheld and Esteban Masson is therefore confirmed as the 2021 French F4 Champion ahead of Hugh Barter and Macéo Capietto.
Masson has already started to prepare for the 2022 season by taking part in the FIA Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) collective tests at the Barcelona circuit (ESP) with the FA Racing team. Getting to grips with his new car wasn’t helped by the rainy weather on the first day, but it didn’t take long for Esteban to adapt. He was at the top of the standings from day two and finished on an extremely encouraging note in 4th place out of 35 participants, including several of the top seeds of the season that has just ended.
