The international stature of the French F4 Championship will be confirmed from 24th to 26th September, as the drivers racing with the FFSA Academy head for the legendary national autodrome of Monza. Located in the heart of the Parco Reale, the 5.973 kilometre Italian circuit is the fastest of the season.
With three events left in the Championship (the competitors will then move to Paul Ricard and Magny-Cours in October), Frenchman Esteban Masson still leads the overall standings. However, his lead was slightly reduced at the end of the previous meeting in Lédenon against his two main opponents, his compatriot Macéo Capietto and Australian Hugh Barter.
It will be interesting to see how these three young motorsport hopefuls will adapt to this track that all the Academicians will be learning. The average lap time will be high and could be favourable to the courageous drivers, while the slipstream phenomenon should push the drivers to set up the best possible strategy, both in terms of settings and driving.
Winner of his first race in the Gard, Gaël Julien is now 4th in the Championship ahead of Daniel Ligier and Owen Tangavelou, who will be looking to respond in Milan. Suspense also remains in the F4 Junior category between Swiss driver Dario Cabanelas and French driver Alessandro Giusti. In this category, Enzo Geraci and Pierre-Alexandre Provost showed great progress at Lédenon.
On the other hand, Noah Andy didn’t get the expected result, likewise Angelina Favario, but they hope to reverse the trend. Elliott Vayron and Enzo Richer, who already took part in Hungary in July, enjoyed their first participation and wish to continue their single-seater training with the FFSA Academy until the end of the season. They will be joined in Italy by Romain Andriolo, who has been highlighting himself in karting in recent years. The event will be run as part of the prestigious GT Open International series.
