The French F4 Championship is preparing to return to the long-awaited competition with the famous Easter Cup, which will celebrate its 54th anniversary. As usual, the FFSA Academy has prepared for the new sporting season meticulously despite the constraints caused by the difficult health situation that has been ongoing for over a year.

As in 2020, a year in which all the events could be maintained, seven meetings are on the programme. The academicians will once again discover renowned circuits such as Monza, Magny-Cours, Hungaroring, Lédenon and Paul Ricard. During the Easter weekend, from Friday 2nd April to Monday 5th April, as part of the very popular FFSA French GT Championship, they will attack the Paul Armagnac circuit in Nogaro.
15 young drivers will compete in 2021 with, once again, a very international field: young hopefuls from Australia, Switzerland, India, the United Kingdom, Thailand and Poland will challenge a French contingent determined to regain the French Championship won last year by the Japanese driver Ayumu Iwasa. Outgoing FIA Karting Academy Trophy runner-up Macéo Capietto will be reunited with Esteban Masson, the man who beat him to the French Junior Karting Championship in 2019.
One female driver will be at the start, Angélina Favario, who is impressively determined. Noah Andy, Daniel Ligier and Owen Tangavelou, who already took part in last season’s racing, will be starting with even higher ambitions. They will be joined by Pierre-Alexandre Provost, Gaël Julien, who trained in Indonesia, and Alessandro Giusti, who was the driving force in the Junior Karting Championships in 2020.
No less than six foreign drivers will be driving Mygale F4 single-seaters powered by turbo engines developed by Renault Sport and equipped with Pirelli tyres. Thailand’s Sutumno Thanapongpan has raced at a high level in karting, Adam Szydlowski will represent Poland, Australian Hugh Barter has just won the “Richard Mille Young Talent Academy”, Vignesh Kadarabad will defend the colours of India, while Switzerland’s Dario Cabanelas and Britain’s Aiden Neate have distinguished themselves in the FIA Karting OK-Junior competitions
